WHAT.A.WINTER. Can’t believe I’m only just now getting a chance to update.
It’s been as if some internal/metaphorical gate was opened, and everything has recommenced to flow. I’m feeling pretty powerful, activated, other words hippies use. Lots going on, and I’m just trying to ride the crest of the wave.
January 1 I stepped into the position of Creative Director at Christine, Ink – technically my second Director position (I had the awesome title of Director of Education & Communications for Burning Man Playa Restoration last fall) but absolutely my first opportunity to really dig in on a directorship level. I love working with Christine and am excited about what we’re up to.
This has also given me the opportunity to cut WAY down on freelancing. For the most part, I’m sending clients to other service providers – let me know if you want a referral – so I can focus on the next stage of my own career.
Too soon to talk about what that is, yet. But I’m in the business planning stage of something that excites me on a deep level, and that I hope to dedicate myself to fully in a few years’ time. Again, working for Christine Ink is a big part of how this is developing. It all feels quite poetic.
I’m still writing, a bit, but mostly here and for clients. This too will begin to change in 2015. I’m planning to shift the focus of my blogging and journalism – I want to write about creativity, specifically what it takes to build a creative life and business.
So that’s the update. Keep in touch will ya?
